Sinds de oprichting van Big Band Leeuwarden in 1973 is het muziek archief van de band uitgegroeid tot een ware muziekbibliotheek. Kisten vol bladmuziek van alle nummers die ooit in de setlist van de band voorkwamen. Hoewel het tegenwoordige repertoire van Big Band Leeuwarden nauwelijks nog valt te vergelijken met dat van jaren terug, wordt er zo nu en dan toch weer eens een golden oldie tevoorschijn gehaald, opgepoetst en in een nieuw jasje gestoken met een prachtig arrangement van John Eskes . |
